The SmartGreen discussion forum is open to everyone but is moderated. This means that messages and replies to messages will not appear in the forum until they have been approved by a moderator.

How to post messages

To reply to someone else's post, just click the "reply" link at the end of the other person's message. If you want to quote the text of their message, click on the "quote" link instead.

To post a new message, click on "new topic" (above the list of existing messages).

Messages will usually be approved within 24 hours, but allow longer over weekends and public holidays.

What messages are OK

Requests for help e.g. "does anyone know a good, affordable web designer?", "is there anyone in the Ballarat area who recycles pallets?", "who can advise me on my energy usage?"
Notification of relevant / topical press or magazine articles
Notification of investments / tenders that SmartGreen network members may be interested in.
Calls for expressions of interest in activities relevant to sustainable business e.g. grants available, innovation competitions, workshops etc.
Promotion of government or not-for-profit services that assist business sustainability
Advertising of jobs involving a sustainable business skill set
Job-hunting - if you have sustainable business skills and are looking for work for yourself (as opposed to business for your company).

Use the forum to help you find resources or to share knowledge / information about resources with the rest of the network.

What messages are not OK

Put yourself in the shoes of potential readers and if your message sounds like a sales pitch then it's not appropriate.
